Google search engine shows Nepal’s new area

KATHMANDU: Google search engine has started showing the new area of Nepal.

The Nepal government made public the new political and administrative map of Nepal on Wednesday including Limpiyadhura, Kalapani and Lipu Lekh.

Google web engine has shown 147,516 square km as the area of Nepal, accordingly. Earlier, the Google search engine used to show 147, 181 square km as the area of Nepal.

The Survey Department under the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation on Wednesday unveiled the new map of Nepal including the disputed territories following the endorsement by a cabinet meeting on May 18.
