Limpiyadhura, Lipu Lekh belong to Nepal: Actor Rajesh Hamal

KATHMANDU: Nepali Cine Actor Rajesh Hamal has said India should accept the fact that Limpiyadhura and Lipu Lekh are the parts of Nepal.

Posting a video message on his Facebook page, Hamal has claimed that Limpiyadhura and Lipu Lekh belong to Nepal as the country has its evidences.

“Limpiyadhura and Lipu Lekh belong to Nepal. Nepal has evidences about it. We humbly request India that India should accept the fact.”

The Nepal-India border dispute has taken a new height after India built a road in Lipu Lekh without taking consent from Nepal.

Hamal’s statement has come at a time when Nepali people are protesting against India over its infringement on the Nepali territory.

Nepal on Wednesday made public the revised map of Nepal including Limpiyadhura, Lipu Lekh and Kalapani.

Reacting to the new map of Nepal, India has said it is ‘not acceptable’, accusing Nepal of publishing the map unilaterally without consulting India.

Hamal has argued that India has created unnecessary border disputes ignoring the historical facts.
