KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli on Wednesday called the President of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades to express concern regarding the safety and treatment of Nepalis and students in Cyprus.
PM Oli telephoned President Anastasiades in connection with establishing contacts with the heads of government or representatives and inquiring about the condition of Nepalis abroad at a time when coronavirus has spread globally.
In a telephonic conversion with the President of Cyprus, PM Oli expressed concern about the condition of Nepali students studying in Cyprus along with other Nepalis living there.
President Nicos Anastasiades expressed commitment that the Nepalis in Cyprus would be treated and helped in need and assured that Nepalis would not get any problem there, PM Oli tweeted.
