Coronavirus-suspected nurses have negative report in PCR test

Getting discharged from hospital now



KATHMANDU: Two nurses of a hospital inside the central jail who tested COVID-19 positive in the rapid diagnostic test (RDT) on Tuesday got negative result in the PCR test today.

Two nurses on duty inside the Kathmandu-based central jail who were sent to isolation at the Teku-based Shukraraj Tropical Hospital after having corona positive result in RDT, got negative result in the PCR test.

According to the Shukraraj Hospital sources, the nurses whose swab was sent for PCR test got COVID-19 negative result on Wednesday.

The hospital is preparing to discharge them soon.

Earlier, with the nurses’ results coming positive, the inmates and the hospital staff were panicked out of fear of coronavirus infection.
