Indian Railways suspends passenger trains till March 31



NEW DELHI: Indian Railways on Sunday announced the closure of all passenger rail services across the country till March 31 owing to Covid-19 threat.

The railways had on Friday clipped its services by canceling a majority of trains.

It had, however, allowed the trains that had started the journey to continue.

The new order issued by the Ministry of Railways on Sunday said that only trains carrying goods will run from March 22 midnight to March 31 midnight.

According to the decision, the railways announced that passengers will be able to avail of a full refund for all the canceled trains.
