KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli, for the first time after he underwent a kidney transplant, has called cabinet meeting today at his official residence in Baluatar.

The meeting is likely to take stock of the situation at a time when the government has announced a partial lockdown for two weeks beginning today.

The meeting is also likely to discuss measures to be taken to prevent the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

The last meeting of the cabinet was held on March 1 before Prime Minister Oli went for kidney transplantation.

PM Oli had on Friday announced the decision to this effect.

Meanwhile sources have claimed that the cabinet meeting is likely to make a few more decisions to combat a possible outbreak of coronavirus epidemic in the country.

It should be noted that all offices except those providing emergency services have been closed from today till April 3 in this regard.
