KATHMANDU: The ruling Nepal Communist Party is holding a Secretariat meeting of the party on Saturday.
The meeting will discuss the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MMC) and an audio scandal involving former Minister for Communications Gokul Baskota.
An audio of ex-Minister Baskota bargaining for Rs 700 million in bribe over the procurement of security printing press for the government has created a buzz in political fronts. Minister Baskota has resigned following the scandal.
Likewise, the task force formed by the party to study MCC Compact has suggested to not endorsing the Compact in a status quo.
The Secretariat meeting will discuss both the issues, according to sources close to PM KP Oli.
The meeting is also expected to discuss possible names for the Communications Minister and Minister for Urban Development.
