CC meeting of Prachanda-Nepal faction begins at Babarmahal



KATHMANDU:  The disgruntled Prachanda-Nepal faction of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has started holding its central committee meeting of the party.

The CC meeting has started at Karki Banquet at Babarmahal in capital. NCP Executive Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, senior leaders Jhala Nath Khanal, Madhav Kumar Nepal and central committee members of the party of its faction are participating in the meeting.

It is learnt that the CC meeting will pass a proposal to take a disciplinary action against another chairman KP Sharma Oli.

Earlier, Prachanda-Nepal faction held a Standing Committee prior to the CC meeting.

Oli faction has already held its CC meeting at Baluwatar. It deiced to add new 556 CC members and form a 1,199-member General Convention Organizing Committee, claimed sources. Currently, the NCP has 446 central members.

It has also decided to hold the party’s general convention on November 18, 2021.
