Province 1 sees 637 fresh coronavirus cases



BIRATNAGAR: A total of 637 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Province 1 on Thursday.

The Ministry of Social Development stated that the infection has been confirmed in 197 women and 440 men.

According to the ministry, 110 people were found infected in Jhapa, 299 in Morang, 180 in Sunsari, one in Dhankuta, one in Khotang, 13 in Udayapur, three in Sankhuwasabha, eight in Ilam, six in Taplejung, and 16 in districts outside the Province.

A total of 1,053 swabs were tested on Thursday at eight different laboratories in Province 1 and other places.

Meanwhile, 418 people, including 149 women and 269 men, recovered on Thursday.

Of them, 252 are from Morang alone, according to the ministry.
