KATHMANDU: Bir Hospital has refuted rumors that the body parts of a person who succumbed to the coronavirus were taken out.

The director of the hospital, Dr. Kedar Century, has urged not to spread false propaganda saying that the body could decay if it is not kept in a suitable refrigerator.

A 63-year-old prisoner of Rupandehi had died of the coronavirus in the course of treatment at the hospital.

Doctors said the inmate died during treatment and had some chronic illnesses.

The hospital also said that post-mortem and burial could not be held due to the risk of the coronavirus. The hospital has also objected to the misleading news.

Dr. Century said that it was natural for the body to look swollen after three days in the morgue.
