Coronavirus kills 66, infects 4,400 Nepalis in Saudi Arabia



KATHMANDU: The number of Nepali people infected with the COVID-19 in Saudi Arabia has reached 4,400 while 66 have died from the virus.

According to Nepali Embassy in Riyadh, 14 Nepalis died in Jeddah and 52 in other areas.

Meanwhile, the Embassy is facing difficulty in sending back the Nepalis who have lost their jobs due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the Embassy, as many as 2,600 Nepalis are ready to fly back to Nepal from there. In September, there will be three flights from Jeddah and as many as 770 Nepalis will return to the country.

A total of 3,30,346 people have been infected with coronavirus so far. Saudi Arabia has witnessed 4,512 deaths so far.
