KATHMANDU: Royal Challengers Bangalore has made a flying start in a cricket match held under the Indian Premier League in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Sunrisers Haiderabad by 10 runs held in Dabai on Monday night.
Haiderabad was all out for 153 runs in 19.4 overs while it was chasing the 164-run target set by Bangalore.
Jonny Bairstow made highest 61 runs, Manish Pandey collected 34 runs while Priyam Marga contributed 12 runs for Haiderabad.
Similarly, Haiderabad’s YS Chahal grabbed three wickets of Bangsore, S Dube and NA Saini took two wickets each while DW Steyn contributed one wicket each.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss, Bangalor had notched up 163 runs in 20 overs losing five wickets.
Bangalore’s D Padikkal and AB de Villiers scored a half century.
D Padikkal made 56 runs including eight fours off 42 balls, AB de Villiers scored 51 runs including four fours and two sixes off 30 balls while AJ Finch contributed 29 runs.
T Natarajan,V Shankar and Abhishek Sharma took one wicket each of Haiderabad.
