DPR being prepared to set up Atomic Research Centre: Minister Pokharel

KATHMANDU: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel shared that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) was being prepared to establish the Atomic Research Centre and Multi-disciplinary Laboratory in the country.

While inaugurating the Nepal Physical Society NPIS School of Advanced Computing, Minister also shared that on the basis of Science and Technology Innovation Policy 2076 BS, Radioactive (Monitoring and Utilization) Act, 2077 BS, Kirtipur based BP Koirala Science Observatory and Planetarium would be developed and such laboratory would be extended in State level as well.

He further shared that the Madan Bhandari University would be developed as a specialized Science and Technology University.
