Banks in Dipayal closed after confirmation of COVID-19 in employee



DIPAYAL: All banks in Dipayal are closed after confirmation of COVID-19 in a bank employee.

The private and government banks in Dipayal have been closed for five days after a 23-year-old woman employee at the Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) Dipayal branch tested positive for coronavirus.

The private and government banks in the district headquarters have through a notice informed the public that they would remain closed for five days.

RBB Dipayal branch chief Ganesh Bahadur Bista said all banking transactions have been suspended for five days to prevent the spread of coronavirus to other persons after the confirmation of the virus in the cashier woman.

So far 800 people in the district have been infected with COVID-19, the District Health Office stated.
