Ward Chairman suffers heart attack, dies for lack of treatment



DHARAN: Ward Chair of Ward No. 2 of Koshi Rural Municipality has died of a heart attack Saturday afternoon.

According to the Mayor Aiyub Ansari, the Ward Chair Hira Lal Yadav had a heart attack at his own home on Saturday.

He stated that after the heart attack, Yadav was rushed to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Health Science Academy, but the hospital refused to admit him citing the ventilator and oxygen beds were occupied.

Though Yadav was again rushed to B&C Hospital of Jhapa, it was too late by the time he reached there; as a result, he succumbed to death.

Mayor Ansari believes that Yadav could have got better fate had he received health care at the hospital in Dharan.
