‘One person, one mask campaign’ begins in Kaski

POKHARA: The Annapurna rural municipality of Kaski has begun a ‘one person, one mask’ campaign. The campaign is being carried out in the doorsteps of the people considering the increasing cases of COVID-19.

The one person, one mask campaign has been made mandatory for all the 11 wards in the rural municipality, said Chair Yubaraj Kunwar. Accordingly, 35,000 masks have already been distributed with another 35,000 planned for distribution.

Likewise, the rural municipality has distributed 1,500 brochures containing information about the risk of Coronavirus infection and efforts to stay away from it.

Encouraging health hygiene, the people have also been provided with 7030 soaps to promoting hand washing.

The local people’s representatives, tol development organizations, mother’s group, school teachers among others have been mobilized to run the campaign.

The campaign has been effective and people are being increasingly aware about the virus, said Chair Kunwar.
