Coronavirus kills 55,928, infects 2,973,368 in India

KATHMANDU: More than 69,000 have been infected with coronavirus in a single day in India.

The number of infection cases has reached 2,973,368 after 69,039 were infected in a single day in the last 24 hours.

This is the highest number in Asia and the third in the world.

A total of 2,220,799 people have returned home after recovery while 696,641 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, currently.

Similarly, more than 55,000 have died from coronavirus in India so far.

With 953 infection cases on Saturday, the number of deaths from the COVID-19 has reached 55,928 on Saturday, according to Worldometer.
