NEW DELHI: Two months after India government enforced a nationwide lockdown due to novel coronavirus, domestic flight operations are all set to resume from May 25.
Union Minister for Civil Aviation Hardeep Puri announced India will resume domestic flight operations in what he said a ‘calibrated manner’ from May 25.
Minister Puri said all airports and planes have been informed to be prepared for operations from May 25.
According to him, the Ministry will soon announce the standard operating procedure for the air travel.
Meanwhile, airports across India have started introducing measures to keep travelers safe from coronavirus.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) had earlier this month had the airports and airport managers to be prepared to handle flight operations.
