KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley is witnessing rain since early Tuesday. The rain is occurring in most parts of the Bagmati State including capital, in Province 2, Gandaki Province, Province 5 and Karnali Province due to local and westerly winds.

According to Barun Paudel, a meteorologist, the weather will be clear in the afternoon in the places where the rain is occurring now but the thunderstorms coupled with lighting are likely in the eastern hilly region of the country.

“The rain is occurring in many places of the country due to the westerly and local winds. This kind of weather condition is likely to continue for some days,” Paudel told Khabarhub, adding, “The will be clear in the central and western regions since the western wind is surging towards east. Easter region will witness thunderstorms with lightning.”

With the westerly wind getting active since Monday, the rain is likely to occur in the morning and evening in many parts of the country due to the westerly wind for two to three days.
