US ambassador posts photo with a Sadhu on Maha Shivaratri

KATHMANDU: US Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry on Friday posted a file photo at the Pashupatinath Temple area in Kathmandu on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri festival.

“Bam Bam Bhole! Happy Maha Shivaratri #Nepal! Nepalis have their own amazing ways of celebrating their rich religious & cultural heritage and #Shivaratri is one of them! #10yearchallenge,” Ambassador Berry said posting two photos on Twitter.

In one photo, Ambassador Berry has posed for a photo with two sadhus. The photo was taken in 2009. In another, he can be seen holding a trident.

10 years ago, Berry had visited Pashupatinath while he had served as Deputy Chief of Mission at US Embassy, Kathmandu.
