Baskota’s resignation approved; ministerial portfolio to Khatiwada



KATHMANDU:  Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada has been entrusted with the responsibility of Ministry for Communication and Information Technology after Minister Baskota resigned from his post.

Issuing a press release, the Office of the President has informed that the resignation tendered by Minister Baskota has been approved while the reprehensibility of the ministerial portfolio has been given to Finance Minister Khatiwada.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has approved Minister Baskota’s resignation and assigned the responsibility of the ministerial portfolio to Minister Yuba Raj Khatiwada, said Hari Prasad Dahal, spokesperson of the Office of the President.

Minister Baskota resigned from his post yesterday after he was dragged into controversy following the leakage of a audio clip related to bribe.

Likewise, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Basanta Kumar Nembang has been entrusted with the responsibility of Urban Development.
