Nepal beats Malaysia by 170 runs



KATHMANDU: Nepal-11 defeated Malaysia-11 by 170 runs in a second friendly match played in Pokhara on Tuesday.

Chasing down the 291 runs target set by Nepal, Malaysia managed to get only 120 runs on the board losing all wickets in 28.4 overs.

Nepal’s Kishor Mahato and Lalit Rajbanshi took three wickets each as Sushan Bhari grabbed two wickets in his kitty.

Ahamet Faizal of Malaysia top-scored at 33 runs as Sayad Ajiz made 32 runs.

Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Nepal-11 scored 290 runs on the board losing seven wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.

For Nepal-11, Gyanendra Malla top-scored at 55 runs as Subas Khakurel made 48 runs.
