KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have jointly inaugurated the Integrated Check Post (ICP) constructed in Biratnagar on Tuesday.
The prime ministers of both the countries inaugurated the check post by pressing a switch through video conferencing, according to the Ministry of Industry Commerce and Supplies (MoICS).
Prime Minister of Nepal Oli inaugurated the ICP from Kathmandu while his Indian counterpart Modi from New Delhi.
The Nepal government had in 2017 awarded the contract to Indian construction company Dineshchandra R Agrawal Infracon P. Ltd., to build the ICP.
Constructed at the investment of IRs 1.14 billion, it was originally planned to complete it in 2018.
