KATHMANDU: The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has informed the Election Commission of its decision to take disciplinary action against Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

A Standing Committee meeting on Sunday had recommended disciplinary action against Oli.

Standing committee member Lilamani Pokharel informed the commission about the decision on Monday afternoon.

He said, “We have submitted the presence of majority members in the Standing Committee meeting and a copy of the decision taken by it to take action against party chairman Oli.”

Sunday’s Standing Committee meeting had recommended disciplinary action against Oli and decided to take the matter to the central committee on Tuesday.

However, Oli claims no one could take action against him. The central committee meeting has been slated for Tuesday.
