Kathmandu Valley registers 899 new COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 899 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 685 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 49 in Bhaktapur, and 164 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,674 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 218,639 with fresh cases as of Saturday afternoon.

A total of 2,323 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 193,325 in the country.

Nepal currently has 24,009 active cases.

Likewise, 757 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as seven people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,305 the Ministry confirmed.
