Salyan’s market area sealed after COVID-19 spreads to community level

SALYAN:  Municipal offices and main market areas have been sealed after cases of COVID-19 spiked in the district.

According to District Health Office, Salyan, District Coordination Committee Chief Kesh Bahadur Bista has tested positive for COVID-19 and is undergoing treatment at Kohalpur Hospital.

Similarly, Kalimati rural municipality Deputy Chief Sansheelata  Wali, Chief Administrative Officer Hari Bahadur KC, Ward Secretary Pradip KC among others are in home isolation after being diagnosed with the virus.

Rural municipality offices and its surrounding areas in the district have been sealed since November 18 after the pandemic spread to the community level.

Similarly, Shreenagar, the business center of the district, has been shut down since November 14 after some people including ward chairman of Sharada municipality tested positive for COVID-19.
