COVID-19 hospital and laboratory to be operational during Dashain



KATHMANDU: The government is planning to operate COVID-19 hospitals and laboratories during the Dashain holiday.

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that COVID-19 hospitals and laboratories will remain open even during the Dashain holiday.

Speaking at the regular press briefing, Dr. Jageshwar Gautam, the spokesperson at the Ministry informed that COVID-19 hospital will be operational even during the Dashain holiday.

Gautam said that the government has decided to make arrangements to operate all the COVID-19 hospitals and laboratories during the festival.

Similarly, Nepal’s COVID-19 case tally has reached 1,44,872 as of Wednesday afternoon after 5,743 persons tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

Altogether 20,118 sample tests were conducted across the country in a single day.

Meanwhile, the counttry has recored 26 deaths linked with the coronavirus in the past 24 hours taking the death toll in the country to 791, the Ministry confirmed.
