RPP finalizes plow as election symbol

KATHMANDU: The dispute over the poll symbol in the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has been resolved. As per the agreement, a plow will be the election symbol of the party.

Leaders were divided over the election symbol following the unification between RPP and RPP (United).

After the dispute is resolved, the party will register with the Election Commission as a new party under the name ‘Rastriya Prajatantra Party’ on Tuesday.

RPP will now have Kamal Thapa, Pashupati Shumsher Rana and Prakash Chandra Lohani as the three Chairpersons. At present, there will be a 327-member Working Committee.

The party flag will have an image of a cow. It has also been agreed to hold the General Convention in May 2021.
