KATHMANDU: The Traffic Police Office has ended the trouble related to visiting the office for the recommendation for lost license and bill book.

According to SSP Bhim Prasad Dhakal, the Chief of Metropolitan Traffic Police Division, the task can be done online.

He stated that the traffic office, with support from the Police Headquarters, has initiated the online service to make its services more technology-friendly and easy and convenient to the beneficiaries, especially in the hard time created by the coronavirus pandemic.

SSP Dhakal informed that nearly 200 people apply at the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division for the recommendation every day.

The person seeking recommendation has to visit the traffic police office’s website traffic.nepalpolice.gov.np and fill-up the form.

Once the person opens the website, they have to click at the Lost Document Application icon on the right-hand side of the page and should offer the details as required.

The beneficiary has to select which document is lost and offer personal details, including name, contact no, address and attach a copy of license or citizenship online.

According to the traffic police office, the beneficiaries can get the recommendation within 24 hours of submitting the details.

They can check and collect their recommendation by inserting application number, full name and address and documents number.

Once the recommendation is available, they can visit the Transport Management Office with the printed application and make their the documents for their lost license or bill book.
