Chitwan extends prohibitory order for one more week



CHITWAN: Chitwan district has extended the prohibitory order for one more week making it go up to midnight of August 28.

The meeting of District Security Committee held on Friday decided to extend the prohibitory order that started from August 16.

The committee has also decided to expand the range of prohibitory order as well and make it effective on all 7 local levels in the district.

According to Netra Prasad Sharma, the Assistant Chief District Officer of Chitwan, the local level had formerly issued only in 6 local levels in the district. Madi Municipality was not included in the Prohibitory Order effective zone before.

Chitwan saw 22 corona cases yesterday, and has seen more than 300 cases till date.

As many as 30 health workers have been infected with coronavirus in Chitwan.

Chitwan has seen 4 COVID-related deaths so far.
