A COVID-19 patient dies in Biratnagar

BIRATNAGAR: A man doing time in home isolation has died of coronavirus pandemic in Biratnagar on Thursday night.

According to Ramesh Karki, the Chief of Public Health Division of Biratnagar Metropolitan City, a male hailing from Biratnagar-6, Sarauchiya who tested positive for COVID-19 positive on Wednesday, died of the pandemic last night.

According to the Health Division of the metropolis, after having COVID-19 like symptoms, the male had got his PCR tested on August 18 and its result came out positive on August 19.
The deceased is survived by his wife and three children.

According to the family sources, the patient was denied entry in the hospital isolation and had to live in home isolation.

He had been suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure.

According to Biratnagar Metropolitan City sources, there are 331 persons in home isolation and 107 in the quarantine set up by the Metropolitan City, currently.

With this, the number of deaths from the coronavirus  has reached 7 in Biratnagar.
