PM urges people to observe Teej in subdued manner

KATHMANDU:  Prime Minister KP Oli has urged the women of Nepal to celebrate Teej festival by following safety standards set by the government.

Extending greetings on the occasion of Teej festival on Friday morning, Prime Minister Oli has called on the Nepali people to observe the festival within the limits created by the pandemic, unlike the ones in the previous years.

“We are observing Teej festival amid coronavirus pandemic. There is no condition for us this year to celebrate the festival with fanfare like before,” PM tweeted, adding, “I would, therefore, like to request one and all to observe the festival in a subdued manner.”
