Woman held with 9.35 kg cannabis in capital



KATHMANDU:  A woman has been arrested with 9.35 kilograms of cannabis in the Kathmandu Valley.

A team of Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot arrested 22-year-old Pabitra Thing from Chandragiri municipality-12, Balambu.

The contraband was recovered from her rented room based in Balamu on Thursday night.

Originally from Dhading Gajuri rural municipality-8, Thing had hidden the illegal drugs in a zebra bag in her room, said DSP Ghana Shyam Shrestha.

She has been charged under Narcotics Drugs (Control) Act, 1976.
