11 new cases in Karnali Province, tally hits 1,256



KATHMANDU: Another 11 people have confirmed to have infected with coronavirus in Karnali Province.

Dr. Laxminarayan Tiwari of Karnali Province Health Services Division under the Ministry of Social Development in a statement on Sunday said that with the new cases, total cases in the province have reached 1,256.

According to him, 10 people have been found infected with the coronavirus in a test conducted at the Province Hospital, Surkhet. Among them, six are from in Salyan, two in Surkhet and two in Dailekh.

Similarly, a test conducted at Rapti Institute of Health Sciences, Dang, showed coronavirus infection in a man from Rukum West.

So far, 531 people have been discharged and four people have died in the province.
