JHAPA: Five wards of Kachankabal rural municipality in the district have been sealed off after 10 people were found infected with the coronavirus virus.
Wards from 1 to 5 of the rural municipality bordering with India were sealed off to stem Coronavirus spread on Tuesday, said SP Krishna Koirala of District Police Office, Jhapa.
There are a total of seven wards in the rural municipality. A total of 33 Nepali people coming from Mumbai of India had been rescued from Nepal-India border and were kept in quarantine of Pathariya Secondary School in ward no. 2 on Saturday.
Their swabs had been collected and sent to Koshi Zonal Hospital for screening. Of theme 10 have tested positive for the novel virus.
