KATHMANDU: Russia has surpassed Spain in terms of infection cases, becoming the second highest country after America in the world.
According to Worldometer, 9, 263 people were infected in the last 24 hours taking the tally to 299, 941. With 115 new deaths, the death toll has reached 2, 837 in Russia.
Currently, 220, 974 Coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 2, 300 are critical. Meanwhile, 76, 130 have returned home after treatment.
Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 324,371 and infecting 4,980, 783 people as of Wednesday morning.
