COVID-19 death toll climbs to 559 in India with 38 new deaths

KATHMANDU: India has registered 38 new deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total tally to 559 as of Monday morning.

According to Worldometer, with 1,250 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 17,615.

Currently, 14, 202 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country while 2, 854 have returned home after recovery. The India government has conducted tests on 401, 586 people for Coronavirus so far.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 164,930 and infecting 2,405, 325 people as of Monday morning.
