Coronavirus kills 23,660, infects 178, 972 in Italy

KATHMANDU: Italy, the second worst-hit country in terms of deaths, has witnessed 433 deaths in a single, taking the total tally to 23,660 as of Monday morning.

With 3,047 new cases, the number of infection cases has reached 178, 972 the third highest in terms of infection cases, after Spain and America.

Currently, 108, 257 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 2,635 are critical. Meanwhile, 47,055 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 164,930 and infecting 2,405, 325 people as of Monday morning.
