1,836 RDT tests carried out in Province 2

JANAKPURDHAM: Parsa district has seen the highest number of Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) for Coronavirus in Province no. 2 so far. Some 1,836 RDT tests were carried out, of which 923 were held in Parsa.

Likewise, 287 tests were carried out in Saptari, 110 in Siraha, 54 in Dhanusa and 54 in Mahottari, according to
Secretary at the Social Development Ministry, Dr. Ram Prasad Ghimire. Likewise, 68 tests in Sarlahi, 62 in Bara and 268 in Rautahat have been carried out.

Among the tests, the RDT report of a 14-year-old boy staying at the Janata secondary school quarantine in Dhankaul-5, Sarlahi showed positive. Hence, his swab has been sent to the Province Hospital in Janakpur for confirmation.

There are a total of 1,265 people in quarantine, 1,677 in self-quarantine and 14 in isolation in the eight districts of the Province, Dr. Ghimire said.
