Hotel Annapurna closed, employees to get remuneration



KATHMANDU: Hotel Annapurna, a five-star hotel located in Durbar Marga, Kathmandu has been closed.

The hotel has been shut down due to the recession caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Executive Chairman of the hotel, Srijana Rana said they have decided to close the hotel for the entire year 2021.

She said they have decided not to open the hotel for the time being as there is no possibility of significant influx of foreign tourists even next year.

According to her, they will decide whether to open the hotel from next year after analyzing the situation.

Hotel Annapurna has been in operation since 1965. Spread over an area of ​​5.5 acres on the heart of Kathmandu, Durbar Marg, the hotel has more than 350 employees.

Rana said that they would bid farewell to all employees by giving them remuneration and facilities as per the rules.
