Kathmandu Valley registers 1,107 new COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 1,107 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 863 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 71 in Bhaktapur, and 174 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, 1,945 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 216,965 with fresh cases as of Friday afternoon.

A total of 5,364 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 191,002 in the country.

Nepal currently has 24,665 active cases.

Likewise, 753 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 22 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,298 the Ministry confirmed.
