Permission granted to operate PCR machine in Jhapa

JHAPA: The Health Ministry has granted permission for the operation of PCR machine set up by the community at Kankai Municipality-based Samarpan Bhawan.

Mayor Rajendra Pokharel said that the Ministry gave permission for the operation of the machine under the Mechi Provincial Hospital, Bhadrapur.

Chairperson of Mechi Provincial Hospital and Chief of District Coordination Committee, Somnath Portel, shared that the PCR machine would be brought into operation soon after the management of human resource.

With this, there would be two machines in Jhapa district. The Mechi Provincial Hospital has already started testing coronavirus via PCR machine.

‘A campaign for one’ had purchased the PCR machine after collecting donation from people to help the government in its campaign to help poor people facing financial problem due to coronavirus.

A team from the Health Ministry had recently conducted a field study to install the machine while Chief Minister of State-1, Sherdhan Rai, Social Development Minister Jeevan Ghimire, among others had also visited the area.
