Prithvi Highway obstructed after flood washes away bridge in Dhading



KATHMANDU: Landslides and floods triggered by incessant rains have obstructed the Prithvi Highway in Dhading district on Monday.

The highway has been blocked due to landslides in about a dozen places.

Transportation has come to a complete halt after a flood in Mowakhola washed away a bridge.

According to the Area Police Office, Gajuri, the flood in the stream also swept away a tipper.

Landslides have occurred in Bareni, Chalise, Chhare and other areas of Prithvi Highway.

Meanwhile, three vehicles have been buried and one person has gone missing in a landslide in Rorang Rural Municipality-10, Benighat.

Likewise, one person has gone missing after a landslide damaged two houses near Malekhu Bazaar in Gajuri Rural Municipality, police said.
