Swab test of 24 at Tokha results negative



KATHMANDU: The nasal swabs collected of 24 suspected persons in Tokha in Kathmandu have tested negative for COVID-19.

The test was conducted on the suspected ones after a new mother, originally from Sindhupalchowk but residing at Tokha, succumbed to the deadly infection some days ago.

Tokha Municipality Mayor Prakash Adhikari confirmed that all 24 persons put to test for COVID-19 through PCR procedure tested negative. They were from Buddamarga in Tokha Municipality ward no 9.

With this, the lockdown has been slightly relaxed in and around Gongabu area which was sealed off since Saturday night.

The Tokha Municipality has urged patience and precaution as well as compliance with the lockdown.
