National Assembly approves govt policies and programs

KATHMANDU: The National Assembly (NA) has passed the government’s policies and programs for the fiscal year 2020/21 today.

The policies and programs was passed with a majority after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli responded to the queries of lawmakers earlier today. The policies and programs was tabled by the NA chair Ganesh Timilsina for endorsement.

The meeting also rejected the amendment proposal presented on the policies and programs by Anita Devkota, Shekhar Kumar Singh and Pramila Kumari.

The policies and programs was also approved by the House of Representatives (HoR) today itself.

The government will present the budget for the upcoming fiscal year based on the policies and programs on May 28.

The Upper House shall again meet at 11:00 am tomorrow.
