China provides medical assistance to Sindhupalchowk district

SINDHUPALCOWK: China has provided medical assistance worth Rs 10 million to Sindhupalchowk district.

China’s Nyalam County on Tuesday handed over the medical assistance to a government team comprising Sindhupalchowk Chief District Officer Umesh Kumar Dhakal at the Miteri Bridge along the Nepal-China border.

CDO Dhakal, in a border security meeting a few days ago, had urged the Chinese side for the assistance.

The medical assistance includes 1,500 N-95 masks, 130,000 disposable masks, 100 sets of personal protection equipment (PPE), 1,500 testing kits, and 108 infrared thermometer, according to Customs Office Chief Lal Bahadur Khatri.

The medical materials are essential to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

The supplies will be kept in the District COVID-19 Disaster Management Fund.
