ILAM: A daughter has gruesomely murdered her own father in the district on Monday night.
Sushma Rai took the life of her father Phul Bahadur Rai at Deumai Municipality-6, Shantidanda.
“Sushma Rai, 25, struck her 52-year-old father Phul Bahadur of Goredanda with a cudgel to death over a minor dispute,” said Police Inspector Raj Kishor Shah of Area Police Office, Mangalbare.
According to locals, the father and daughter usually had a spat in the house.
A preliminary investigation carried out by the police has shown that the father has been murdered by the daughter as the crime took place at night.
