Brazil reports 16, 953 deaths, 255, 368 infection cases



KATHMANDU:  Brazil has witnessed a surge in the deaths of people from Coronavirus of late. According to Worldometer, the death toll has reached 16, 953 after 735 died in the last 24 hours.

With 14, 288 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 255, 368 as of Tuesday morning.

Currently, 138, 056 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 8, 318 are critical. Meanwhile, 100, 459 have recovered after treatment.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 319,958 and infecting 4,887,  763 people as of Tuesday morning.
