Health Ministry urges people against misleading publicity on Dr Pun

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has said its attention was seriously drawn towards the news some media and social networking sites carried by distorting the fact and even mentioning the name of Health Minister Bhanubhakta Dhakal in this regard.

The Ministry said it called Dr Sher Bahadur Pun from Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital to the Ministry adding that the Ministry has not discouraged the morale of the medical and health workers.

The Ministry said it has arranged 100 percent allowance and the insurance of Rs 2.5 million to them.

Rather the news reports had come by deviating from the fact relating to Dr Pun, Joint Secretary at the Administration Division of the Ministry, Raghuram Bista said and urged all concerned not to write and make anyone write misleading news on it.

According to the Ministry, for the prevention and control of the coronavirus, any health and medical worker is mobilized in any health facility.
