DOTM postpones exams for driving license until further notice

KATHMANDU: The Department of Transport Management (DOTM) has postponed both written and trail examinations for a new driving license.

Issuing a notice on Thursday, DOTM said it will no longer receive applications for a new driving license from March 26 until further notice.

The decision was taken following the government’s direction to bar people from public gatherings of more than 25 persons to ward off a possible outbreak of COVID-19.

However, the work of renewing and obtaining a duplicate of driving license will continue.

DOTM also decided to halt India-Nepal bus services currently operated under 13 different routes.
